Peter Morris is Professor and Head of Construction and Project Management at University College London. He is the leading proponent of ‘the management of projects’ perspective – see The Wiley Guide to Managing Projects (2005); The Management of Projects (1994) and The Anatomy of Major Projects (1987). He has also worked on project strategy and project-based learning and is currently researching the project front-end and leadership in the built environment circa 2050. He is the author of over 110 papers, co-editor of The Oxford Handbook on Project Management (2010), and is currently writing Reconstructing Project Management (2013) Previously Chairman of the APM, he is an (Honorary) Fellow of APM, a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers and of the Chartered Institute of Building. He received PMI’s 2005 Research Achievement Award, IPMA’s 2009 Research Award, and APM’s 2008 Life-Time Achievement Award. He is being awarded best paper in IJMPB for 2010.
