Ivanka Iordanova, Ph.D., LEED AP, is a diplomaed architect, presently a postdoctoral fellow at the Ecole de Technologie Superieure in Montreal, Canada. She also teaches at graduate and undergraduate level at the School of Architecture of the Universite de Montreal. Initially specialized in digital architecture and modeling of architectural know-how, during the last few years, her research focusses on interdisciplinary collaborative design and sustainable construction. One of the hypothesis investigated, is that using technological tools as boundary object in a multidisciplinary team would open new perspectives for creating a culture of sharing and for organizational changes, which will improve quality and productivity in construction. Mostly using qualitative methods of inquiry in her research, the paper presented at this Conference uses a mixed methodology, as it presents a research in collaboration with the Department of Psychology.
