Johannes Glückler is Professor of Economic and Social Geography and Research Fellow at the Marsilius Center for Advanced Study, University of Heidelberg. He received his PhD at the University of Frankfurt. Previously, he was Professor of Economic Geography at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt (2006-2008). His research interests are in the areas of economic geography, social networks, and service industries. He has published on relational economic geography, the geography of knowledge and organizational networks in journals such as Organization Studies, Journal of Economic Geography, Regional Studies and the Project Management Journal. Apart from a textbook on economic geography (2003, with Harald Bathelt) he has published books on human (1999) and economic geography (2006) as well as on knowledge-based (2004) and creative service economies (2010).
