Tim O'Leary

Tim O’Leary has some 25 years of experience in the management of large IT and business change programmes. Working with large organisations in both the public and private sector in the UK, he has played key leadership roles in the set up, management, review and recovery of major business change programmes. In parallel with his consultancy work, he has also pursued academic research in project and programme management, completing his PhD at the University of Southampton in 2010. Drawing on ethnographic research conducted whilst engaged on consulting work, he takes a ‘social practice’ perspective on the management of business change projects, combining an interest in the application of social theory with a pragmatic focus on improving project management performance.
