Spike Boydell is a property theorist, property rights expert and Pacific land tenure specialist. He is Foundation Director of the UTS: Asia Pacific Centre for Complex Real Property Rights (a transdisciplinary collaboration that specialises in land tenure and property rights research, advocacy, public policy development and consultancy) and Professor of the Built Environment at the University of Technology, Sydney. As Professor of the Built Environment, Spike takes a leading role in developing the research directions and achievements of the construction, property, urban planning and project management disciplines. He has held academic positions in Australia, the UK and the South Pacific, and currently also holds honorary roles as a Distinguished Visitor in the School of Law and Adjunct Professor of Land Management and Development at the University of the South Pacific.
